The requirements of SQF are broken into two parts:
This course covers the SQF Code covers the Food Safety Fundamentals (facility requirements and hygiene practices such as GMPs) and are specific to different industries.
The other part of the SQF Code is Module 2 which addresses the requirements of the Food Safety System (SQF Level 2) or the requirements of the food safety system and the quality system (SQF Level 3). We recommend that you also take our companion course Introduction to SQF to learn about Module 2 requirements.
This course is for Management, HACCP Team members and anyone who wants to understand the requirements of the SQF Code. Anyone involved in the implementation or maintenance of your SQF system would benefit from the course because it is necessary to have a good understanding of the requirements and how to meet them. Management has defined responsibilities to the SQF system so it is important that they are aware of their role in the success of the system and certification.
The course takes about 1 1/2 hours to complete. After passing the quiz at the end of the training, you may print your certificate. You will have 30 days to access this course but all downloads are yours to keep forever.
There is a quiz at the end of the training. The quiz is not timed. You may refer to your notes during the quiz. If you do not pass the quiz, you may review the course content and retake the quiz.
