Be prepared to conduct a successful Gap Analysis of your current system. This is an important step to take in preparation for a successful implementation of SQF in your company. You will use the Gap Analysis to find out what requirements you already have iin place and which ones you will need to implement.
Checklists are included for both the food safety system elements and the prerequisite program requirements for Manufacturers of Food Packaging (Module 2 + 13), and will be your guide as you evaluate your food safety management system. With room for notes and observations, recording conformance or nonconformance the checklist becomes your record of findings and can be used to plan your project. The checklists can also be used for internal audits.
