Documentation of Processes

Documenting processes provides control and consistency of how processes are performed. You will need to document procedures called out by the standard as well as those required to ensure control of
other processes in your FSMS.

This means that your FSMS will have more documented procedures than just those specifically named in the standard but these procedures will be useful documents. They will ensure that processes are being done as management planned and approved.

Good documentation will help you ensure that processes are being done correctly and consistently, and is required for certification to any of the GFSI recognized food safety management systems.

You don’t need to start with a blank page. Use our professionally designed templates to help you meet the requirements of the standard.

How many mandatory clauses do ISO 22000 Require?

The requirements are in clauses 4-8 of the ISO 22000 Standard, and all are required. There are no “Permissible Exclusions” as there are in ISO 9001. You must address all of the clauses of the standard. Nothing can be excluded.
